Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has announced a series of structural reforms aimed at modernizing Pakistan’s policing framework, including the permanent integration of overseas training for police officers and the establishment of a centralized Law Enforcement Investigation Center in Islamabad modeled after Chinese policing systems.
The announcements were made during an executive meeting in Islamabad with Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASPs) who recently completed specialized training programs in China and Türkiye. Senior officials, including the Commandant of the National Police Academy (NPA) and the Director General of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), were also in attendance.
