Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian declared on Sunday that Iran will rebuild its nuclear sites “stronger than before” following damage caused by recent US and Israeli strikes. Pezeshkian’s comments, made during a visit to the country’s nuclear organization, emphasized that the attacks will not set back Iran’s nuclear progress, citing the retained expertise of Iranian scientists.

This resolute stance follows an intense period of conflict, including an unprecedented Israeli bombing campaign in June and retaliatory Iranian ballistic missile barrages. The full extent of the damage remains unknown, although Iranian officials previously described it as “serious and severe.”
In a parallel development, Oman, Tehran’s traditional intermediary, is urging a return to the negotiating table. Omani Foreign Minister Badr Albusaidi publicly called for the resumption of stalled nuclear talks between Iran and the United States.
The push for renewed diplomacy is critical as Iran currently faces the return of global financial pressure. The nation is dealing with renewed UN sanctions after Britain, Germany, and France triggered the “snapback” mechanism over alleged non-compliance with the 2015 nuclear deal. The Iranian government confirmed it has received messages regarding resuming diplomatic engagement.
