According to the Foreign Office, Ishaq Dar emphasised the urgent need for de-escalation in the Middle East and highlighted Pakistan’s ongoing efforts to promote dialogue and achieve lasting peace and stability in the region.
The Portuguese minister fully appreciated Pakistan’s diplomatic initiatives and expressed strong support for Islamabad’s role in facilitating talks and reducing tensions.
Both sides also expressed satisfaction over the positive momentum in bilateral relations and agreed to further strengthen cooperation in areas of mutual interest. They underscored the importance of regular high-level exchanges and decided to remain in close contact.
