The Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Lakki Marwat, Hameedullah Khan, visited police personnel injured in a suicide attack that targeted a police van in the district on Monday. Accompanied by other administrative officials, the DC reviewed the condition of the injured and issued strict instructions to the hospital administration to ensure they receive the best possible treatment and all necessary medical facilities.

The visit comes amidst a persistent rise in terrorist attacks across Pakistan, particularly in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and Balochistan provinces, since the outlawed Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) ended its ceasefire with the government in 2022.
The Lakki Marwat area has been a focal point of recent counter-terrorism operations. Just two months prior, security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation in the district, resulting in the killing of seventeen terrorists.

The military’s Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) affirmed the successful engagement, highlighting the continued efforts by security forces to combat militancy in the region.
