Despite the disruption of the Strait of Hormuz, which has blocked nearly 25% of global seaborne oil, PM Shehbaz assured the public that Pakistan maintains sufficient stocks due to timely strategic decisions. He highlighted that the government has already provided Rs129 billion in relief to low-income groups by slashing the development budget and implementing rigorous austerity measures. While global prices remain volatile, the Prime Minister noted he has rejected three separate proposals for further price hikes in the past month, focusing instead on provincial consultations to finalize long-term relief recommendations for the common man.
