Trump Welcomes Defense Pact between Saudi Arabia, Turkiye and Pakistan

US President Donald Trump on Sunday expressed that he was pleased by the recent signing of defense pact between Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, and Turkiye.

Trump on his social media platform Truth stated, “Very happy to see that Saudi Arabia, Turkiye, and Pakistan have recently, and finally, signed the Makkah Joint Defense Agreement.”

He further noted that, “It shows how the Middle East is coming together, and how Countries will finally be able to defend themselves in a more meaningful way,” he even called it a “BIG, BOLD, IMPORTANT FIRST STEP.”

The pact was signed on August 07, 2026 amid the regional tensions in middle east. Pakistan’s foreign ministry observed that this pact is meant to strengthen the collective deterrence. Moreover, it is a “shared commitment to further strengthening their collective security and to promoting peace, security and stability in the region and beyond.”
