Zayn Malik ‘Buzzing’ for 2026 Comeback: New Album and Global Tour Confirmed

Feb 12, 2026 | Latest News, Entertainment

On February 11, 2026, pop sensation Zayn Malik made a highly anticipated appearance on the Call Her Daddy podcast, where he opened up about the next chapter of his career. Reflecting on a decade since his solo debut, Malik admitted he is “genuinely buzzing” that fans still care about his music. During the interview with Alex Cooper, he discussed the emotional transition from his One Direction days to solo stardom, revealing a deep sense of gratitude for the loyalty of his fanbase, which has stuck by him through long periods of public absence.

The singer officially confirmed that his fifth studio album, titled “Konnakol,” is set for release on April 17, 2026. Named after a South Indian vocal percussion technique, the album is described as his most “culturally rooted” work to date, blending R&B with traditional South Asian rhythmic influences. Malik also announced “The Konnakol Tour,” a massive 31-date global trek launching in Manchester this May. This marks his first-ever arena and stadium tour as a solo artist, following a successful seven-night residency in Las Vegas this past January.

Beyond the music, Malik spoke candidly about fatherhood, sharing that he wants his daughter, Khai, to understand their shared heritage through his art. He also revealed that the new album features his most personal lyrics yet, including tracks performed partially in Urdu, signaling a move toward deeper introspection and cultural pride.
