Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif addressed the sixth International Paigham-e-Islam Conference in Islamabad, emphasizing Pakistan’s commitment to regional peace and advocating for a permanent resolution to the US-Iran conflict.

The Prime Minister underscored Pakistan’s crucial mediation role in initiating negotiations between the United States and Iran, expressing optimism that these discussions will lead to lasting peace and prevent further loss of life. He commended the efforts of Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir in facilitating the ceasefire and dialogue.
Prime Minister Sharif also acknowledged the contributions of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, China, Türkiye, and other allied nations in fostering the peace process. He reiterated Pakistan’s balanced and principled stance in the current regional context.
Highlighting the strengthened bilateral relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, Prime Minister Sharif emphasized the paramount importance of protecting the Harmain Sharifain. He affirmed that the defense agreement between the two countries reinforces this commitment.
Prime Minister Sharif reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering support for the Palestinian and Kashmiri people, advocating for their right to self-determination. He urged religious scholars to promote unity and harmony within the Ummah, condemning those who incite division and engage in terrorism.
Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, addressing the conference’s second session, reiterated Pakistan’s dedication to regional peace and stability. He emphasized the country’s sustained diplomatic efforts to de-escalate tensions and promote dialogue.
Deputy Prime Minister Dar reaffirmed Pakistan’s principled stance on Jammu and Kashmir and Palestine, stressing the importance of Muslim unity, the central role of the OIC, and collective action for the betterment of the Ummah. He also highlighted Pakistan’s leadership in combating Islamophobia and promoting interfaith harmony.
Deputy Prime Minister Dar lauded the participation of international and national religious scholars and noted the importance of the conference. He concluded by reiterating that peace, progress, and prosperity remain central to Pakistan’s national vision under Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s leadership.
