The Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Abbas Araghchi, has formally denounced recent statements made by U.S. President Donald Trump regarding internal Iranian affairs, describing the American rhetoric as “reckless and dangerous.”

Rejection of Foreign Interference
In response to social media posts by the U.S. President claiming that Washington is “locked and loaded” to intervene in domestic protests, Foreign Minister Araghchi emphasized that Iran will “forcefully reject any interference in its internal affairs.”
The Foreign Minister noted the hypocrisy of the U.S. position, stating that given the deployment of the National Guard within U.S. borders to protect public property, President Trump should understand that criminal attacks on public infrastructure cannot be tolerated by any sovereign state.

Military Readiness and Sovereign Defense
Addressing the explicit military threats issued by Washington, Minister Araghchi indicated that the Iranian armed forces remain on high standby. He warned that Tehran “knows exactly where to aim” should the United States choose to engage in unlawful military escalation or repeat previous strikes on sovereign Iranian territory.
Diplomatic Action at the United Nations
Simultaneously, Iran’s UN Ambassador, Amir-Saeid Iravani, has dispatched an official letter to the UN Secretary-General and the President of the Security Council. The communication calls for a formal condemnation of the U.S. threats, which violate international law and the UN Charter.

The letter states: “The United States of America bears full responsibility for any consequences arising from these unlawful threats and any ensuing escalation.”
Internal Situation and Government Stance
While President Masoud Pezeshkian has expressed a willingness to listen to the “legitimate demands” of citizens regarding economic concerns and currency fluctuations, the Prosecutor General, Mohammad Movahedi-Azad, has warned that attempts to transform civil unrest into organized chaos will be met with a “decisive response.”
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterates that the security and stability of the Islamic Republic are the sole prerogative of its state institutions and will be defended proportionately against all external provocations.
