The Chinese-made humanoid robot A2, developed by Shanghai-based Agibot, has set a new Guinness World Record by walking 106.286 kilometers between Suzhou and Shanghai without shutting down.
Completing the journey in the early hours of November 13th, the achievement proves the maturity of the robot’s engineering and autonomy.

The A2’s endurance was maintained by Agibot’s rapid hot-swap battery system, allowing it to remain active for the entire inter-city journey. Equipped with dual GPS, LiDAR, and infrared sensors, the robot successfully navigated complex urban environments, including crowded sidewalks, traffic lights, and varied terrains, all while adhering to traffic rules.

Wang Chuang, senior vice-president of Agibot, emphasized that completing this distance, tough even for humans, demonstrates the maturity of the robot’s hardware, cerebellar balance algorithms, and endurance, which establishes a solid foundation for large-scale commercial deployment.
This milestone follows the achievement of China’s Tien Kung Ultra robot, which completed a 21-kilometer half-marathon in April.
