In the wake of recent attacks on the United Arab Emirates (UAE), the international community has voiced strong condemnation and unwavering support for the Gulf nation. On Monday, the UAE reported intercepting 15 missiles and four drones allegedly fired from Iran, marking the first instance of such targeting since the April 8 ceasefire agreement.
The attacks, which included a drone strike causing a significant fire at the Fujairah Petroleum Industries Zone and reportedly injuring three Indian nationals, have been met with widespread concern and calls for de-escalation. An empty crude oil tanker, belonging to the UAE’s state oil firm, was also allegedly targeted in the Strait of Hormuz.
While Iranian state media cited “US military adventurism” as a potential cause, the international response has been unified in its disapproval of the attacks.
