Islamabad remains firm on its demand that Afghan Taliban Regime should take verifiable action against the terrorist organizations operating from its soil against Pakistan. The Foreign Office Spokesperson Tahir Andrabi stressed that diplomatic progress between Kabul and Islamabad is contingent on concrete and verifiable actions against terrorist organizations namely TTP and BLA—who have been operating from Afghan territory.
Pakistan has linked progress in relations with Afghanistan to concrete and verifiable action by the Taliban against the Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and other militant groups operating from Afghan soil.

Outgoing Foreign Office Spokesperson Andrabi stated that Islamabad appreciated China’s diplomatic efforts to restore peace between Pakistan-Afghanistan, he even appreciated Special Envoy Yue Xiaoyong’s visit to revive the Urumqi process. However, Andrabi stressed that external facilitation cannot replace actual enforcement by Kabul.
Andrabi further noted that relocating the terrorists does not equate to dismantling the militant networks. Thus, stressing the need for cogent actions such as written, verifiable assurances that Afghan soil will not be used for terrorism against Pakistan. The ball is now in Kabul’s coat, only decisive action against the command, and logistical structure of the militant organization can break the deadlock.
