In a statement released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Kuala Lumpur accused Israel of deliberately altering the demographic and territorial status of Palestinian lands through ongoing construction and land seizures. The ministry said such actions are designed to cement permanent occupation and undermine Palestinian aspirations for statehood.
“The expansion of illegal settlements is a blatant attempt to entrench occupation and deny Palestinians their legitimate rights,” the statement read. Malaysia underscored that these activities contravene numerous United Nations Security Council resolutions and international law principles, particularly the Fourth Geneva Convention.
The government reaffirmed its unwavering support for the Palestinian people in their struggle for self-determination, sovereignty, and independence. It also urged the international community, including the United Nations, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, and key global powers, to take decisive steps against what it described as Israel’s unilateral provocations.

Kuala Lumpur reiterated its long-standing call for a two-state solution, envisioning an independent and sovereign Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital, based on pre-1967 borders. It warned that Israel’s actions not only endanger peace in the Middle East but also undermine the credibility of international institutions tasked with maintaining global order.
Malaysia confirmed it would continue raising the issue at regional and international forums while coordinating with other nations committed to defending Palestinian rights. The Foreign Ministry emphasized that lasting peace and security in the region depend on halting settlement activity and resuming meaningful dialogue.
“Malaysia stands firm in its belief that justice and peace can only be achieved when Israel halts its illegal expansion and respects the sovereignty of the Palestinian people,” the statement concluded.
