The team established its dominance early, with midfielder Sondre Johansen opening the scoring in the 12th minute, followed quickly by a strike from winger Elias Hansen in the 28th minute, sending Norway into the break with a comfortable 2-0 lead.
The second half saw no let-up in the Norwegian intensity. The final goal came in the 78th minute from a powerful long-range effort by substitute Magnus Kristoffersen, capping off a perfect attacking display and resulting in the emphatic 5-0 final score.
“This was the complete performance we have been working towards,” said Norwegian Head Coach, Kjell Berget, after the match. “The discipline, the tactical execution, and most importantly, the hunger to score until the final whistle were all there. Israel is a tough side, but our players were exceptional tonight, taking control of the midfield and converting almost every clear chance we created. This result sends a strong message about our intentions for the rest of the campaign.”
The victory provides Norway with three vital points and a substantial boost to their goal difference, a critical factor in the closely contested qualifying group. For the Israeli team, the heavy defeat will prompt a period of reassessment as they prepare for their next fixture, focusing on defensive solidity and regaining momentum.
