Key economic MoUs were finalized in the Halal trade and certification sector, along with facilitation for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and business development, aiming to expand institutional and economic ties. In the social sector, crucial agreements were reached on higher education, including the mutual recognition of academic certificates and degrees between the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan and Indonesia’s relevant ministry. Additionally, a separate agreement on the Indonesian Aid Scholarships programme was formalized to boost educational exchange.
Further strengthening ties, MoUs were signed for cooperation in the health sector, archives, and efforts to prevent and combat illicit drug trafficking. The exchange of these agreements in the presence of the two leaders marks a decisive move towards comprehensive and broad-based engagement between Islamabad and Jakarta.
