Pakistan Calls for an Immediate Stoppage to West Bank Expansion
Pakistan has called on Israel to immediately stop expanding settlements in the occupied West Bank, stressing that lasting peace in the Middle East cannot be achieved without justice for the Palestinian people. Speaking at a United Nations Security Council briefing, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar reaffirmed Pakistan’s strong support for Palestine’s right to self-determination. His statement came just hours before Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif arrived in Washington to attend a major US-sponsored summit on Gaza.

Pakistan Joins Trump’s ‘Board of Peace’ Initiative
Pakistan also confirmed its participation in US President Donald Trump’s newly launched “Board of Peace” initiative. Islamabad said it is ready to contribute to all diplomatic efforts aimed at advancing a two-state solution. Officials emphasized that meaningful diplomacy, guided by international law and accountability, is the only path toward a just and lasting peace.
Global Summit Faces Questions Over Goals and Impact

While several Middle Eastern countries have confirmed participation, many European powers are staying away, raising questions about the initiative’s long-term effectiveness and global support.
