The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, has issued a formal address regarding the recent wave of domestic unrest, characterizing the actions of the United States and its regional proxies as “criminal” acts of sabotage against the Iranian nation.

Condemnation of U.S. Intervention
The Supreme Leader explicitly named U.S. President Donald Trump as a primary perpetrator behind the casualties and property damage sustained over the recent weeks. “We consider the U.S. President a criminal for the casualties, damages, and slander he has inflicted on the Iranian nation,” the Supreme Leader stated.
Responding to threats of foreign intervention, Ayatollah Khamenei affirmed that while the Islamic Republic will not be dragged into a wider war, it maintains its sovereign right to ensure “domestic and international criminals do not go unpunished.”
Attribution of Violence to Foreign Intelligence
The Supreme Leader acknowledged the tragic loss of several thousand lives during the recent crackdowns, but firmly attributed the escalation of violence to the “eternal enemies” of Iran—specifically the United States and the Zionist regime.
Official reports indicate that organized elements linked to foreign intelligence services were responsible for inciting chaos, destroying public infrastructure, and spreading terror among civilians. The Prosecutor General, Mohammad Movahedi Azad, has confirmed that those identified as “mercenaries” and “rioters” will face the full weight of the law, with charges of moharebeh (enmity against God) being applied to those who took up arms against the state.

National Security Successes and Restoration of Order
Following complex intelligence operations, security forces have successfully dismantled several foreign-backed cells. Key “ringleaders” have been apprehended, including individuals allegedly operating on behalf of the exiled Pahlavi family and other hostile entities.

The Government also notes that as stability returns to the streets, communication infrastructure is being restored. Following a necessary period of restricted connectivity to prevent the coordination of terrorist activities, internet and SMS services have begun a phased restoration across the country.
