PAF Chief Declares Pakistan a ‘Regional Stabiliser’ After May Conflict

Air Chief Marshal (ACM) Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu stated on Tuesday that Pakistan has successfully emerged as a “net stabiliser” in the region following the May 2025 conflict with India, known as Marka-i-Haq (Battle of Truth). Speaking at the passing out parade at PAF Academy Asghar Khan, the Air Chief asserted that the military’s credible prowess, combined with diplomatic efforts, has strengthened Pakistan’s relations with key global and regional powers as a responsible nuclear state.

ACM Sidhu credited the “resounding success” of Marka-i-Haq, which spanned from the April 22 Pahalgam attack to the conclusion of Operation Bunyanum Marsoos on May 10—to the unified approach across national power elements and decisive tri-service synergy. He specifically highlighted that the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) conducted its first full-spectrum multi-domain operation in history, integrating space, cyber, and electronic warfare with long-range vectors and killer drones.

He noted that the downing of multiple Indian jets on May 7 was a modern, intense beyond-visual-range (BVR) battle. Furthermore, he claimed that on May 10, the Pakistani armed forces delivered a “paralysing punch,” striking Indian bases and ground assets, and even neutralising state-of-the-art S-400 defence systems to ensure “peace with honour.”

While affirming Pakistan’s desire for friendly relations with all neighbours, ACM Sidhu issued a clear warning: if the nation’s sovereignty is challenged, the adversary will find the armed forces “even harder and better prepared.” The PAF’s innovative modernisation and indigenisation efforts, particularly under the newly established National Aerospace Science and Technology Park (NASTP), were cited as the core of this multi-domain operational strategy.
