RAWALPINDI | Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has announced a temporary adjustment in its European flight operations, reducing direct flights from Lahore to Paris due to low customer turnout.
The national carrier confirmed that its Islamabad–Paris flights will continue uninterrupted, ensuring connectivity for passengers traveling between Pakistan and France. PIA had launched direct Lahore–Paris flights twice a week in June, but after careful assessment of demand, the decision was made to temporarily suspend the route.
The final Lahore–Paris flights will operate on September 12 and September 17, 2025, respectively.
At the same time, PIA has initiated renovation work on two aircraft withdrawn from the Lahore–Paris route, which will be deployed for the resumption of Manchester flights in the United Kingdom. The airline spokesperson stated that preparations are well underway, pending the expected grant of Third Country Operators (TCO) authorisation by mid-September.
With the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) lifting its ban on PIA flights to Europe last November, the national carrier is working actively to restore and expand its UK and European network.
PIA reaffirmed its commitment to providing passengers with safe, reliable, and customer-focused services while continuing to explore new opportunities for expansion in Europe and beyond.
