Prime Minister Lauds Pakistan Air Force as ‘Steel Wall’ of National Defense

ISLAMABAD — Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif held a high-level meeting today with Chief of Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmad Babar Sidhu, to review the professional affairs, operational readiness, and strategic priorities of the Pakistan Air Force (PAF).

The Prime Minister paid glowing tribute to the PAF’s role in defending the nation’s airspace, describing it as a “steel wall” of Pakistan’s defense. He hailed the PAF personnel—honored as the “Falcons of the Nation”—for their unmatched courage and professionalism in the face of adversity.

Referring to the recent Ma’raka-e-Haq (Battle of Truth) in May 2025, Prime Minister Sharif praised the PAF’s decisive performance against Indian aggression. He noted that PAF’s air warriors had successfully downed multiple enemy aircraft, neutralized hostile incursions with pinpoint precision strikes, and safeguarded Pakistan’s skies with exemplary valor. “Our air warriors not only defended every inch of our sovereign airspace but also demonstrated to the world that Pakistan’s sovereignty is non-negotiable,” he said.

Air Chief Marshal Sidhu briefed the Prime Minister on ongoing modernization programs, including advancements in cyber warfare, electronic defense systems, and joint operational training with allied nations. He emphasized that the PAF remains fully committed to technological innovation and operational excellence to counter future threats.

The Prime Minister reaffirmed the government’s complete support for the PAF’s modernization drive and strategic goals, stressing that a strong, modern, and resilient air force is crucial for national security and regional stability.

This meeting reflects the nation’s enduring pride in the PAF’s achievements, particularly its recent victory in defending Pakistan against external aggression, and the government’s resolve to further strengthen the country’s aerial defense.
