Prime Minister has emphasized the provision of maximum possible assistance to small and medium-scale farmers to increase per-acre productivity. During the meeting, he reviewed the agricultural reforms and the implementation of measure to develop the agriculture sector.

He said certified companies should ensure the provision of quality seeds to the farmers, and the creation of a comprehensive national system to estimate crop production. Moreover, the activation of agricultural research institutions to develop the agriculture sector and align research activities with the international standards.
PM Sharif directed the authorities to use the experience of students who had returned from China after receiving agricultural training in China. Emphasized transparency and merit be prioritized while selecting students for agricultural training in China this year.
The meeting was also briefed on initiatives to promote organic agriculture and use of AI for crop monitoring and pest and plant identification.
