The Board of Peace (BoP) Mandate
The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) stated that Pakistan’s inclusion in the BoP—having signed the founding charter during the World Economic Forum in Davos—is a testament to the country’s “effective role for the promotion of global peace” and its expanding diplomatic footprint.
The inaugural session, chaired by President Trump, will focus on a critical three-point agenda:
- Gaza Ceasefire: Consolidating a permanent cessation of hostilities.
- Financial Mobilisation: Operationalizing the BoP with an initial $5 billion commitment from Washington.
- The International Stabilisation Force (ISF): Defining the contours of a security force tasked with reconstruction and post-conflict governance in Gaza.
Unified Muslim Voice
Pakistan stands as one of the eight key Muslim-majority nations invited to the summit, alongside Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Egypt, Jordan, Indonesia, Qatar, and the UAE. These nations are expected to adopt a unified position to ensure that the reconstruction of Gaza and the proposed global forum address the core aspirations of the Palestinian people and regional security concerns.
