Pakistan Acts as a Quiet Diplomatic Bridge
Ishaq Dar revealed that Pakistan is playing a key behind-the-scenes role in easing tensions between the United States and Iran. Instead of direct negotiations, messages are being passed through intermediaries, including Pakistan, Turkiye, and Egypt.

Dar clarified that this is not a formal peace dialogue but a sensitive exchange of proposals. The US has reportedly shared a 15-point plan, which Iran is currently reviewing. Pakistan says it remains committed to promoting peace and stability, stressing that diplomacy is the only path forward.
Conflicting Claims and Ongoing Fighting
While Donald Trump claims Iran is eager to make a deal, Iranian officials strongly deny this. Abbas Araqchi stated that Iran is not negotiating but only responding to messages through friendly countries.

Meanwhile, the conflict continues to intensify, with Iran launching new waves of missile and drone attacks and targeting US-linked bases. On the ground, both sides appear far from agreement, and Iran insists any end to the war must happen on its own terms.
Global Impact and Growing Risks
The war is now entering its fourth week and has triggered serious global consequences. The closure of the Strait of Hormuz has disrupted oil supplies, causing fuel shortages and rising prices worldwide. United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres warned that the conflict is “out of control” and risks expanding further.
With more US troops heading to the region and continued strikes across the Middle East, fears of a wider war are growing. Despite diplomatic efforts, the situation remains tense, uncertain, and dangerous.
