On Sunday, March 8, 2026, at approximately 1:15 p.m., the Beverly Hills mansion belonging to pop superstar Rihanna was targeted in a brazen daylight shooting. The Los Angeles Police Department responded to reports of gunfire in the exclusive Beverly Crest neighborhood, where they discovered approximately seven to ten assault rifle casings scattered near the property. According to law enforcement sources, a woman in her 30s pulled up to the residence in a white Tesla and fired multiple rounds from an AR-15-style rifle toward the home’s gate before speeding away. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, although at least one bullet reportedly penetrated a wall of the mansion and several struck the exterior security gate.

The suspect, later identified by authorities as 35-year-old Ivanna Ortiz, was apprehended by police roughly 30 minutes after the initial 911 call. Her vehicle was located about eight miles away at the Sherman Oaks Galleria shopping center, where she was taken into custody without further incident. Ortiz has been booked on charges of attempted murder, with bail set at a substantial 10.225 million.While Rihanna was confirmed to be inside the residence at the time of the attack,it remains unclear if her partner, A$AP Rocky, or their three young children were also present. Detectives are currently reviewing surveillance footage from the area to determine a motive for the shooting, as the investigation into the singer’s security breach continues.
