Gujarat Sexual Misconduct: Maternity Ward Footage Hacked, and Leaked

Nov 17, 2025 | Latest News, Crime & Lawfare

Authorities in Gujarat have confirmed that a formal complaint has now been registered in connection with allegations of inappropriate behaviour involving female patients at a local hospital. Police officials noted that neither the hospital administration nor any affected patient initially came forward, prompting law enforcement to file the complaint independently to ensure the matter is formally investigated.

According to Gujarat Police, several women expressed hesitation to register complaints due to concerns that their identities might be revealed. “Female patients fear that their identity will be exposed. Therefore, they are not willing to lodge a complaint,” an officer stated.

Women’s rights advocates say that societal stigma continues to discourage victims from seeking justice. Commenting on the issue, Ms. Dmello stressed that shame and fear only intensify the trauma experienced by women in such cases.

“When there is a sexual angle involved, the victim is re-victimised because of the patriarchal nature of Indian society. If we want women to assert their rights and ensure that offenders are held accountable, we as a society must stop shaming and blaming women for the crime,” she said.

Police confirmed that the accused has been removed from sensitive areas pending the investigation. Authorities have also urged anyone with information to come forward and assured complete confidentiality for victims.
