The White House has not approved a proposed 45-day ceasefire supported by several countries, and Iran responded forcefully by announcing it will not accept short-term solutions.
Trump has placed a deadline of Tuesday on Iran’s restoration of access to the strait, stepping up pressure amid ongoing hostilities. Israel, meanwhile, said it had killed two senior officials from Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps in targeted strikes. Israeli forces also struck a major petrochemical site in southwestern Iran.

The bloodshed has inflicted a devastating human toll. Iranian state media said on its overnight report that several civilians, including six children, were killed in Israeli-US strikes on Tehran. In retaliation, Iranian strikes hit a residential building in Haifa, claiming four lives.
As threats escalate on all sides, concerns are mounting that the conflict could widen further, with dire implications for the region and beyond.
