Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar expressed profound grief and extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families. Terming the strike a blatant violation of international law, the Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that targeting non-combatant commercial vessels severely endangers innocent lives and poses an unacceptable threat to freedom of navigation and maritime security in critical global shipping corridors.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is actively coordinating with relevant Saudi authorities and the internationally recognized government of Yemen to ascertain full details of the incident. The Embassy of Pakistan in Riyadh has been instructed to pursue all necessary emergency measures for the swift retrieval and repatriation of the mortal remains, as well as the provision of immediate medical and consular assistance to the injured national.
