General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, NI, NI (M), Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC), today attended the Victory Day Celebration ceremony of the Armed Forces of Türkiye as the Chief Guest. The event, held in Islamabad, was a testament to the deep-rooted and enduring fraternal relations between Pakistan and Türkiye.
The ceremony was well-attended by a wide array of distinguished civilian and military officials, members of the diplomatic community, media personnel, business leaders, and representatives from civil society, all of whom were present to show their support for the strong partnership between the two nations.
In his address, Chairman JCSC General Sahir Shamshad Mirza extended heartfelt felicitations to the people of Türkiye, its political leadership, and all ranks of the Turkish Armed Forces on the occasion of their Victory Day. He highlighted the time-tested strategic relationship between Pakistan and Türkiye and reaffirmed the shared resolve of both nations to further broaden and deepen this unique bond across all domains. General Mirza emphasized that this special relationship is a reflection of common values, mutual trust, and a strong partnership that has stood the test of time.
Upon his arrival at the venue, the Chairman JCSC was received by Mr. Berk ECE, Chargé d’affaires of the Türkiye Embassy in Pakistan. The event underscored the unwavering commitment of both countries to fostering peace, stability, and cooperation on a regional and global scale.
