DPM Dar Welcomes Growing Pakistan-Russia Bilateral Relations

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar met Albert Khorev, Russian Ambassador to Pakistan, to review bilateral ties and regional security developments.

DPM-FM Dar expressed his pleasure over the positive momentum in Pakistan-Russia relations. Dar further highlighted the significance of sustained high-level exchanges and enhanced cooperation across different sectors, and its potential to deepen the partnership between both nations.

On this occasion, Dar reiterated Pakistan’s foreign policy stance of sustained dialogue and diplomacy, considering it the only pragmatic path to resolving regional differences and fostering peace and stability.

This engagement comes in the backdrop of recent strides in Pakistan-Russia economic and institutional cooperation. Dar and Khorev also discussed;

  • The progress of the multi-year Economic Cooperation Program extending through 2030
  • Agreements to streamline visa processes.
  • Strengthening people-to-people exchanges.

Both sides agreed to maintain close coordination to advance shared economic and strategic objectives.
