The General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces issued a formal statement on Sunday addressing the operational status of the nation’s strategic defenses following recent hostilities. Senior military officials confirmed that the country’s missile capabilities remain fully operational and largely unaffected by recent strikes.
Iran said damage to its missile launchers during a 12-day conflict with Israel was limited, with a senior military official saying less than 3% were destroyed and that Iran’s missile capability remains operational.

Ahmad Vahidi, Deputy Chief of Iran’s Armed Forces General Staff, characterized the impact on Iran’s missile infrastructure as “limited.” Speaking to Al Mayadeen television, Vahidi clarified that during the 12-day conflict, less than 3% of the nation’s missile launch platforms were destroyed.
“Our missile force remains active, robust, and fully capable of conducting sustained operations,” Vahidi stated. “The strategic infrastructure designed to protect our national sovereignty remains intact.”
The statement specifically addressed what Iranian officials described as a coordinated media and psychological campaign by Israel. Vahidi asserted that Israel has sought to amplify its military performance through exaggerated reports that do not reflect the realities on the ground.
“Israel attempted to present an image to the international community that does not match the reality of their tactical success,” said Vahidi. “Despite the rhetoric, they failed to achieve their primary military objectives during the fighting.”

The Armed Forces reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining a credible deterrent. While Israeli reports have claimed significant blows to Iranian military infrastructure, Tehran maintains that these assessments are part of a broader effort to undermine Iranian morale.
The General Staff concluded the briefing by reiterating that the Iranian military continues to monitor regional developments and stands ready to respond to any further infringements on its territory.
