Pakistan Air Force Successfully Flight Tests Indigenous ‘Taimoor’ Weapon System









The Pakistan Air Force (PAF) has successfully conducted a flight test of the indigenously developed “Taimoor” weapon system, marking a significant milestone in the advancement of national aerospace and defense capabilities.

The Taimoor is a state-of-the-art air-launched cruise missile (ALCM) designed for high-precision strikes against both land and sea targets. Key features of the system include:

Leadership Commendations

The launch was witnessed by senior officers of the Pakistan Armed Forces, alongside the scientists and engineers who spearheaded the project.

Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, congratulated the project team on their professional excellence. He reaffirmed that this achievement is a testament to the nation’s resolve to maintain a credible conventional deterrent and achieve technological self-sufficiency in an evolving regional security environment.

President Asif Ali Zardari paid tribute to the PAF, stating that the local preparation of modern weaponry is a clear reflection of national capability and institutional expertise. He noted that the Taimoor system bolsters Pakistan’s responsible defense policy aimed at ensuring regional stability.
