Pakistan Army Destroys Strategic Ammunition Depot in Khost, Taliban Retreat

Continuing its decisive response to unprovoked cross-border aggression, the Pakistan Army has successfully destroyed a major ammunition depot in Khost, Afghanistan, used by the Afghan Taliban and the terrorist group Fitna-al-Khwarij (TTP). According to high-level security sources, the strike is part of the ongoing Operation Ghazab-lil-Haqq (“Righteous Fury”), which has seen a significant intensification of kinetic actions over the last 72 hours.

The destruction of the Khost depot further cripples the logistical capabilities of hostile elements attempting to destabilize Pakistan’s border regions. Security officials confirmed that the Afghan Taliban regime and its militant proxies are currently facing a “humiliating retreat” across multiple fronts as Pakistani ground and air assets continue to neutralize high-value targets.

This latest success follows a string of strategic victories for the Pakistan Armed Forces, including the dismantling of command-and-control centers and the reclamation of key heights along the Durand Line. Federal Information Minister Attaullah Tarar recently updated the “butcher’s bill,” noting that total Taliban and Khwarij casualties have now surpassed 415 killed and 580 injured since the escalation began on February 26.

Military leadership has reiterated that the “open war” will persist with “total force” until the threat of terrorism from Afghan soil is permanently extinguished. While Kabul has recently issued appeals for dialogue, Islamabad maintains its stance of zero tolerance, emphasizing that the “cup of patience” has overflowed and that the safety of Pakistani citizens remains the supreme priority.
