Prime Minister Sharif Reaffirms Strategic Partnership with Saudi Arabia









Prime Minister of Pakistan met Saudi Minister for Environment, Water, and Agriculture Abdulrahman bin Abdulmohsen Al-Fadley at Prime Minister House. During this meeting the PM stated the Makkah Joint Defence Agreement has strengthened regional unity and collective security.

The bilateral engagements between Saudi and Pakistan would focus on expanding cooperation across different sectors i.e., economy, food security, and defence.

  • Agricultural & Trade Partnership: Discussions focused on boosting Pakistan’s agricultural productivity through the utilization of modern technology, expanding Research and Development, efficient water management. The initiative of expanding Pakistan’s agricultural exports to KSA was also discussed. A delegation from Pakistan will sool travel to Riyadh to this effect.
  • Trilateral Defence Pact: The Saudi-Pakistan leaders highlighted the Makkah Joint Defence Agreement. It was noted that collective security framework among Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Türkiye supplement regional stability, and prosperity.
  • Meeting in GHQ: CDF Field Marshal Asim Munir met Minister Al-Fadley to discuss strategic cooperation, regional stability, and environmental sustainability.

Minister Al-Fadley reaffirmed Saudi Arabia’s commitment to expanding collaboration across agriculture, water management, and food security sectors with Pakistan.
