Chief of Defence Forces and Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Asim Munir, alongside Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, arrived in Tehran on Monday for high-level bilateral discussions with Iranian Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni.
The visit forms part of Pakistan’s ongoing diplomatic efforts to promote regional stability and support a peaceful, lasting resolution to the Middle East conflict. Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei welcomed the delegation, noting that relations between Islamabad and Tehran are currently at one of their strongest points.
During the visit, Pakistani leadership will engage Iranian officials to strengthen bilateral security coordination and advance diplomatic channels aimed at de-escalating regional tensions.

The visit is unrelated to Oman’s foreign minister’s trip, although both visits will address regional security issues.
