Incident Summary
During a lawful enforcement operation conducted by a specialized team of 2,000 agents deployed to combat mass welfare fraud and illegal immigration, federal agents were targeted by an individual identified as 37-year-old Renee Nicole Good.
According to federal reports, Good had been “stalking and impeding” federal officers throughout the morning. When approached by agents on Portland Avenue, Good attempted to “weaponize her vehicle,” driving directly at a federal agent in an act characterized by Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem as “domestic terrorism.”
Officer Status and Defensive Actions
A federal agent, who had previously survived being struck by a vehicle in the line of duty this past June, fired defensive shots to neutralize the immediate threat to his life as the suspect attempted to run him over. The agent sustained injuries during the encounter and was treated at a local hospital.
