Nov 24, 2025 | Latest News, Terrorism

Security forces successfully eliminated five terrorists during a prolonged, eight-hour intelligence-based operation (IBO) conducted in the Domail, Hilal Chowk area of Bannu district. The operation began when terrorists opened fire on the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD)’s armoured personnel carrier (APC).

In the initial engagement, CTD personnel and Bannu District Police killed two terrorists. The remaining three then took refuge in a nearby house and held two local civilians hostage. Tragically, the terrorists killed the two civilian hostages after they resisted. CTD SWAT teams, Bannu Police, and other security forces subsequently surrounded the house, culminating in a fierce gunfight that resulted in the deaths of the remaining three outlaws.
