ISLAMABAD, PAKISTAN – August 12, 2025 – The Pakistan military’s media wing, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), announced today that security forces have successfully killed 50 militants in a series of operations in the Zhob district of Balochistan province. The operation, which spanned four days from August 7-11, targeted militants belonging to the Fitna-al-Khawarij (FAK).

According to the ISPR statement, 47 militants were killed during a joint operation in the Sambaza area between August 7 and 9. This was followed by a subsequent “sanitization operation” on the night of August 10, which resulted in the elimination of three more militants along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border.

The military has recovered a cache of weapons, ammunition, and explosives from the slain militants. The ISPR referred to the militants as “Indian-sponsored” and reiterated the armed forces’ unwavering commitment to safeguarding the nation’s borders and thwarting all attempts to destabilize the country. The press release concluded with a strong message that security forces will continue their efforts to ensure peace, stability, and progress in Pakistan.
