Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar has thanked his Iranian counterpart Abbas Araghchi for clearing the air on recent media reports about Iran’s stance. In a post on X, Ishaq Dar called Araghchi his “Dear Brother” and appreciated him for setting the record straight.
Foreign Minister, H.E. Seyye Abbas Araghchi:
We are deeply grateful to Pakistan for its efforts and have never refused to go to Islamabad. What we care about are the terms of a conclusive and lasting END to the illegal war that is imposed on us.پاکستان زندہ باد،

Earlier, the Iranian Foreign Minister took to X to say that US media is misrepresenting Iran’s position. He expressed gratitude to Pakistan for its diplomatic efforts and made it clear that Iran has “never refused” to hold talks in Islamabad.
Araghchi stressed that Iran’s main priority is to achieve a “conclusive and lasting end” to the “illegal war” imposed on it. He ended his message with a strong “Pakistan Zindabad!”
The exchange shows both countries are trying to keep diplomatic channels open even as the US-Israel war on Iran continues to escalate.
