Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has warned India against planning any “false-flag operation” to blame Pakistan, saying Islamabad will respond strongly if New Delhi tries such a “drama”.
Speaking to the media in Sialkot on Saturday, Asif said India might stage an attack using its own people or Pakistanis in their custody, plant bodies, and then point fingers at Pakistan. He reminded India of the embarrassment it faced last year after the Pahalgam incident, when the whole world — including many Indians — questioned its claims.
“If they try this kind of drama again, God willing, we will take them to Kolkata,” Asif said, in a strong message referring to the eastern Indian city.
He also recalled the Pakistan Air Force’s strong performance during last year’s conflict, which Pakistan calls “Marka-i-Haq” (Battle of Truth), and warned that any future response would be even more forceful.
“If they try to enact such a drama this time, then God-willingly, we will take them to Kolkata,” Asif said, referring to the eastern Indian city near the border with Bangladesh.https://t.co/yx9yaRJP09

At the same time, Asif expressed hope that Pakistan’s efforts to mediate peace talks between the US and Iran would succeed. He said Pakistan is playing an important diplomatic role and wants to help bring stability to the region.
Just days ago, Asif had also told his Indian counterpart Rajnath Singh that any illusion of space for war between two nuclear-armed countries is dangerous and would have drastic consequences.
The minister made it clear: Pakistan wants peace, but it is fully prepared to defend its sovereignty if needed.
