Reports from the latest iOS beta version revealed that WhatsApp is finally developing a native message scheduling feature. Discovered in the 26.7.10.72 beta through the TestFlight program, this tool will allow users to draft messages and select a specific date and time for automatic delivery. This update aims to eliminate the need for third-party workarounds or the complex Apple Shortcuts automation currently used by many iPhone owners to time their texts.
The feature is designed for both individual and group chats, making it an ideal tool for sending birthday greetings, professional reminders, or time-sensitive group announcements. To ensure user control, WhatsApp is building a dedicated management section within the “Chat Info” screen. Here, users can view all pending messages and delete them before they are sent without the recipient ever knowing. This provides a safety net for those who change their mind or no longer need to send a reminder.

Importantly, this feature will be completely free for all users, unlike some premium business broadcast tools. While the capability is currently in the development phase and not yet open for public beta testing, it marks a significant shift toward making WhatsApp a more versatile productivity tool. Once launched globally, it is expected to be one of the most requested features to ever reach the platform.
