Kuwait Endorses Pakistan’s Diplomatic Initiative
In a significant diplomatic development, Shehbaz Sharif held a high-level phone conversation with Sheikh Sabah Al Khaled Al Hamad Al Sabah, during which Kuwait formally endorsed Pakistan’s ongoing efforts to mediate tensions between the United States and Iran.

Prime Minister Sharif also strongly condemned recent attacks affecting Kuwait, expressing solidarity and offering condolences for the loss of lives. In response, the Kuwaiti crown prince praised Pakistan’s balanced diplomacy and appreciated its proactive role in seeking regional peace.
Ongoing Mediation and International Support
Pakistan’s mediation efforts, supported by Turkiye and Egypt, are centered on indirect communication between Washington and Tehran through structured message exchanges.
According to Ishaq Dar, a detailed US framework has been shared with Iran and is currently under consideration. These developments signal cautious progress, even as significant differences remain between the two sides.
