The Foreign Office of Pakistan today issued a strong condemnation of the recent attack on United Nations peacekeepers serving with the UN Interim Security Force for Abyei (UNISFA) in Kadugli, Sudan.
The late-night assault on December 13 tragically resulted in the deaths of six Bangladeshi personnel and left several others injured.
In its statement, the Foreign Office expressed deep sorrow over the incident and conveyed Pakistan’s heartfelt condolences and solidarity with the families of the deceased, as well as the Government and people of Bangladesh.
The statement paid a solemn tribute to the “Blue Helmets,” underscoring the critical role UN peacekeepers play globally in preventing conflicts, protecting civilians, and promoting stability, often at the risk of their own lives.

Call for Justice and Protection
Pakistan called for an immediate and thorough investigation into the attack, urging that those responsible for this heinous act be swiftly identified and brought to justice.
The Foreign Office reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to working with UN Security Council members and the international community to enhance measures for the protection and safety of all peacekeepers deployed in high-risk zones.
