Pakistan Expresses Solidarity with UAE Following Attacks

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has voiced strong condemnation of the recent missile and drone attacks targeting civilian infrastructure in the United Arab Emirates. He conveyed his complete solidarity with UAE President Sheikh Mohammad bin Zayed Al Nahyan, emphasizing the deep bond between the two nations.

“Pakistan stands firmly with our Emirati brothers and sisters as well as with the government of the UAE at this difficult time,” stated PM Shehbaz in a message shared on social media.

The Prime Minister stressed the critical need for upholding and respecting the ceasefire to facilitate diplomatic dialogue, ultimately leading to lasting peace and stability in the region.

These attacks, including one on the Fujairah energy hub that injured three Indian nationals, mark a dangerous escalation, according to the UAE’s foreign ministry. The ministry asserted the UAE’s right to respond, with Iranian state media claiming responsibility for the attacks as a response to “US military adventurism.”

India has also condemned the attacks, calling for an immediate end to hostilities and the targeting of civilian areas. The Indian foreign ministry emphasized the importance of uninterrupted access to the Strait of Hormuz and offered India’s support for peaceful resolutions.
